Adaro - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Together with my mate Ran-D we have set up our project Gunz for Hire this year. In the spring we started working day and night on producing tracks for our first live performance at Decibel Outdoor. I'm proud of what we achieved till so far as G4H. Tracks like Put it On, Kings of the Underground and Gangsters Don't Dance have gained support from the biggest names in the scene. We performed at Thrillogy and Qlimax. Our track with female vocalist Ellie, "Sorrow", was chosen as no1 in The Magic Show Top 100 of 2011. Also the support I got from collegues with my solotracks like "The Haunter of the Dark" is really a highlight for me. Artists like Crypsis, Psyko Punkz and Ran-D called me the talent of 2011 in articles; Headhunterz mentioning me several times in his radioshow; these things mean a lot to me.

What moments will you never forget?

The madness at the A2 Labelnight in Rotterdam, The first G4H gig at Decibel Outdoor, my debut in The Matrixx at XXlerator Raw and my debut in the Heineken Music Hall at Qountdown. And the no.1 experience in my life so far was the Gunz for Hire gig at Qlimax in front of 30.000 people.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

The Anarchist, Arkaine, Code Black, Artic and E-Force this year. In the new year I expect a lot from Geck-O, Audiofreq, Tartaros, Juized, Radical Redemption and Profite.

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

Hard to choose, I have a lot of favourites, but to name a few: Ofcourse Ran-D for having his very well deserved breakthrough as an A-list Hardstyle artist! He, The R3belz, Zatox and Wildstylez were my favourite hardstyle producers of this year. And Headhunterz for giving the total scene an enormeous boost with his openminded radioshow Hard With Style.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

A2 Records :D

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

TNT- Countdown, The R3bels - Pattern 2 and B-Front & High Voltage - Everything Changes are the 3 tracks I played the most besides my own tracks and collabs. Three masterpieces in hardstyle and future classics I think.

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Qlimax and Hard Bass

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

I cannot think of a specific moment at this time, but a lot of fun things happened last year, that's for sure! :D

What do you have planned for the next year?

A lot of producing, solo and with Ran-D as Gunz for Hire. Remixing some tracks I like, doing some exciting collabs and giving all my energy behind the decks in the weekends! I would also like to thank everybody for the support last year and hope to see you on a party!!
