2007 has been an exciting year for hard dance, seeing many of the established acts including ourselves moving further away from the traditional style and incorporating lots of elements from genres such as electro and psy trance. The tune that has really defined hard dance in 2007 for us must be the brilliant "Beats Like This" by Nick Sentience. It has the drive from hard dance, the bassline and build-up from psy trance and lots of electro-sounding stuff going on, moulding into a masterpiece of dance music - just the way we love'em! We were also asked to do a remix of it by the man himself, and have done so - for now it stays in our own cd-wallets, but who knows - maybe we'll see it released in 2008.
Our biggest and most memorable moments of the past year must be finally releasing our long awaited track "U Got 2 Be There" which has since the making in 2005 been re-made into our current sound, switched both label and media - and been remixed by wonder boys MDA&Spherical. Both mixes has done really well in the charts too, so that's a plus! Another moment to take with us along was standing alongside Nick Sentience while he hammered the above-mentioned track at "Keep It Tidy" in Oslo, and seeing the venue packed to the rim with 1500 clubbers erupt - awesome!
For 2008 we have lots of things in the pipeline. First up we have a triple release on Oblivion Recordings featuring the track "Pick Up the Vibe" which has been caned by Sentience for some months now, and causing him to call us "The hottest act on the hard dance scene at the moment". This is due for release on January 14th. On January 25th we travel southwards to the tip of Norway where we'll be playing alongside Andy Pickles, Amber D, Lisa Pinup, Sam Townend, Kevin Energy and Kym Ayres to name but a few - so we're really looking forward to that! We are currently working a lot with the newborn label "Presence Recordings" alongside Carl Nicholson and a bucket load of other top producers and djs, and we think it will really take off next year. 2008 will also see us both doing electro and tech trance solo-projects under the guises "Audioglitch" and "Fred Perri" - so keep an eye out for those! Other plans for Adrenaline Dept. in 2008 includes a lot of collaborations, but we don't want to give it all away just yet!
