Well, what a year its been! I can definitely say that this year has been one of my favourite as a DJ so far. So many great events, and so many massive tunes have been released this year... One of the best tracks this year for me though would have to be Marco V – Red Blue Purple. It featured so heavily in my sets over the summer months in the UK and Internationally.
Personally though for me, as a DJ, I have been lucky enough to play in Ibiza all over the summer for a third season for Tidy @ Es Paradis, which is always a pleasure, so this definitely has to be one of biggest achievements this year, getting through another summer in Ibiza! I have also been lucky enough to play at many other clubs this year also for various events, so much so that at one point, I was out of the UK more than I was in it! Its always great to come home though.
A few things will stick in my head from the past year... of course, the infamous Tidy Weekender, (11 & 12) were again as amazing as always. And also getting the chance to play very often in Ireland in various places over there during the last 5 months. I must say that Ireland, North and South have both been fantastic places to play for me this year. I shall be back there again early next year to play at the NIA, so I am very much looking forward to that!
This year, and going on to next year, I have been knuckling down more than ever with my production. I have had 4 tracks out this year, along with another 3 albums (Tidy Weekender Live, Trashed – Bootlegs & Blags & Keep It Tidy Digital) bringing my total number of compilation albums up to 10. Look out for another album, an Amber D tour and also some big news on my new sponsorship deal with Lacoste for their new fragrance, 2008. Next year I will be back bigger and better than ever, and its all thanks to my loyal fans who have kept me going all of these years, so its to you, the fans that I owe the biggest thanks of all. x
