My Year In Hard Dance

2007 personally has been a great year for hard music with a great deal of variation in sounds which has maybe been lacking for the last three or four years. There have been some really positive moves within the scene with new labels appearing and also the return of an old favourite of mine Tripoli Trax. The tune which really defined the year for me is Omega 3's Fishy Situations on Carbon Recordings, a mean slab of full on energy with an outstanding uplifting punchy riff at the breakdown. Highlights of the year are Party Proactive, tour of Australia & New Zealand in August, especially Base in Christchurch, Dance Valley, six hour set at Storm . My most memorable moment of the year has to be getting locked in the dressing room toilet five minutes before my set at Vcr1 in Leeds, it's made me conscientious about checking there's a handle on the door before shutting now! Looking forward to 2008 I have some exciting projects under wraps at the moment but details will be announced very soon!
