Argy - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Apart from gaining residencies @ INSIDE OUT (XL) @ the arches in Glasgow, Storm @ the Emporium Coavile & getting to warm up the GoodGreef Arena @ CREAMDIELDS, it has to be getting hand picked by Radio 1 to play @ their In New Music We Trust event, then I got asked back on to Kutski' show and they replayed my set live Across entire BBC Radio 1 Air waves!!! Defo my biggest achievement to date on whats been a crazy year for me... :D

What moments will you never forget?

My First gig as the new inside out resident, seeing a load of Scottish Ravers dressed up as me with blow up sheep and just the atmosphere there was electric, loads of chanting and cheering while playing I felt like a true rock star that night, it was probable one of the best moments of my life!

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

Local lads by me Liam Howells aka Projekt.tek & Aaron Curtis aka Tranzliquent, not just saying it because they're local lads, they are actually making ground breaking stuff, they both have a equine sounds and ideas and I think its only a matter of time before it catches on. I really feel our scene is dying for that injection of new artists and sounds coming through and these boys are all over it! ;)

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

This year for me Organ Donors. They've seen how times are changing totally re invented there sound re branded now there smashing it all over the world again, remixing for some of the biggest labels in the world.. not bad for Hard Dance DJs ay!? Inspiring stuff!!!

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Audio Surgery & Kiddfectious for pushing new music forward.

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

Argy - Group Therapy loads of Radio 1 support and supported internationally! :D

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Inside out @ the arches & all my gigs this year across Ireland through Hard breed & the react guys have been insane, atmosphere out there is electric they live for it!

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

Some random I met genuinely thought I was Afro Jack because I have a little afro and I'm from Swansea.. (a Jack) lol

What do you have planned for the next year?

Head down pushing new sounds forward, also getting involved with Escape in Swansea, setting up a record label with them launching end of Jan.. keep your ears tuned! :) And keep hammering it @ my residencies..
