What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
The biggest thing I guess would have to be gaining such massive support from Alex Kidd and being made a Kiddfectious All Star. Playing a peak time main room set at Kiddstock Wales was a bit of a defining moment for me and since then, its all gone a bit crazy! I've gained a massive following and support from some of the industry's biggest players. Another massive achievement was having Jules play one of my tracks (Grade A Marshmallow)on Radio 1 NYE and at the Trance Awards.
What moments will you never forget?
The Kiddstock events have to be among the most memorable..it has to be said though, its the coach trips venturing miles away from civilisation with my crazy crew to the remote sites that made them! 2000+ people at Kiddstock Wales chanting my name and losing it on the dancefloor was another standout moment. I'd say my fave would be playing Matter in London for Kiddfectious. After a pretty eventful journey and a fair level of traffic-induced stress I played probably my best set to date! Amazing venue, awesome brands and I think my set really did that justice...even if I do say so myself!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
Sam Jones from South Wales. At only 17 his technical ability is second to none. He's just been made resident for Insideout in Glasgow @ The Arches..definitely one to watch ladies and gents.
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
Without doubt this year, it gotta be Alex Kidd. From running some of the best events I've ever been to and absolutely rocking every set I've seen him play...the guy is never a let down!
What's been your favourite label of the year?
Kiddfectious / Kiddfectious Experiment...tune after tune on this label.
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
JOC remix of Should've Known. Also, one of my own - Always Been Real.
What's been your favourite event of the year?
Without being biased..I'd definitely say Kiddfectious meets Judgement Sundays. Fantastic to see the harder dance community in that venue. From the main room to the All Stars second room...the place was absolutely bouncin'! Seriously good event.
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
Tripping over a step out of the DJ box at Goodgreef @ Escape after my set. My set had gone down so well, then I came off the decks and went flat on my face in front of everyone...proper You've Been Framed moment! Haha!
What do you have planned for the next year?
Big things happening! My debut release soon out on Kiddfectious which I cant wait for, Atomik 3 and Storm's 10th birthday coming up amongst some other massively exciting gigs already booked in. Watch this space - 2010 is gonna be my year!
