The last 12 months have been very exciting and challenging or me. As an engineer I have been given the opportunity to work some stimulating and thrilling projects that have developed both my skills and the output of the artists I have worked with..
The one thing I'll always remember is when I was asked to engineer Lisa's 2007 remix of Unbelievable. The original was such a massive track back in the day, I knew the production quality of the remix had to be top notch. I was secretly very excited about the challenge and had a lot to live up to if the remix was to surpass the original. Lisa had fantastic ideas for the new version and I feel that I contributed my part as the engineer. The end result was a superb remix that topped the Trackitdown.net charts at no1 for over a week.
Other highlights of the year include engineering for A-list DJs and gaining support from the specialist dance music shows on Radio1 for various tracks produced at Fidget Studios; including appearances in the Radio1 "Tried and Tested" section, being involved in the engineering of a recent Euphoria album and, finally, Fidget Digital's first release hitting number 1 in Trackitdown's download chart.
