What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
With so many influences coming in Hard Dance, there have been a few total belters that have stayed in our boxes all year long. The P.H.A.T.T remix of CRW – I Feel Love has always destroyed the floors as well as one of our favorites of this year that has came from our studio which is the Steve Allen & Ben Alonzi remix of Adagio For Strings.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
Having completed the rebuild of our studio, we have now achieved a sound that we are happy with to take into 2008. Also playing one of the best venues in London, Turnmills was also a definite highlight, and securing the Diverted Recordings radio show on the biggest radio station on the internet www.DI.fm was also a massive achievement. Producing a track with our favorite vocalist Tiff Lacey was also a massive highlight, as was spending time with all our fans, and meeting new people throughout the year.
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
It has to be during our 4 hour set for Fixation @ The Venue, when Steve's right ear died on him, halfway through mixing!!! Ben literally had 20 seconds to re beat match the tracks and keep the set flowing while Steve tried to hit his ear drum back into action. Drinking the mighty cups of coffee when we have finished playing is always a bonus, as too is seeing the promoters faces when we ask for one!!!!
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
Having created our own sound that we are happy with, 2008 will inevitably champion those sounds. We have lots of new material coming out including "Wildfires feat Tiff Lacey" we have a lot of remix work coming out also, plus a number of high profile club gigs. We aim to keep pushing Diverted Recordings & Communicate Recordings forward, and bring through more new and promising artists.
