What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Cementing Combats reputation as a label that puts out only quality digital tracks. For me a lot of labels seem to settle on quality control, I like to push it as if it were still a vinyl label, there's no point looking back and not being happy with what you're putting out.

What moments will you never forget?

Getting into the top 3 on TrackItDown with I Was In Nam. I thought it would be my lowest seller on the EP and it was the most, show's you what I know.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

A few to pick from but probably Jason Roberts, its getting to the point where I can almost sign them without hearing them now. Top ideas and the perfect Combat sound.

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

In 2009, Rodi Style. His comfortable in most styles of Hard Dance, excellent at Hard House and always trying to push the envelope. His production has come on leaps and bounds and I honestly thing he could crack any genre he puts his mind too.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Apart from Combat, obviously, I'd actually say Tidy. They're back on form this year, some of the tracks have been top draw.

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

Of my own tracks, my remix for Rodi Style's KungFu Wax - Rodi Style - Tug Of War (Chris Comben VIP). Any track, then probably Tarpon Point by Curve Pusher.

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Requiem without a doubt. Always a great atmosphere at the 414.

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

Nothing too rib tickling, more bizarre than anything. Probably being in the studio, trying to balance a baby on my lap and fight off a cat whilst saying to Dave that we can still get the funk from a Stevie Wonder track into Hard House and sounding perfect. You'd never tell even if you knew!

What do you have planned for the next year?

To push the Combat sound to new arena's. Taking Hard House back to its roots by making House music that is Hard. Hopefully getting some of the House set to pick up on a few of the tracks for the end of their night and still keeping the Hard Dance crowd happy for the start of their night. Everyone's a winner.
