Clayfacer - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Biggest achievement this year was probably getting myself established on new labels around the world and having a track of mine and Criostasis reach number one in the TID charts. Not really a whole lot else that comes to mind, hopefully 2012 something more exciting happens. xD

What moments will you never forget?

One day I was playing Starcraft 2 online, just doing the usual playing some multiplayer ladder games. I get matched up against some random person, when the game starts he says "Are you the real Clayfacer?" I reply "Yes.", then he says "I'm a big fan of your music, love your stuff." That was the first time any one had ever recognized me as an artist just randomly, although it was through a video game rofl. But still! It was neat.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

I feel like Cryptix has really made a name for himself in 2011, he is definitely a name to keep a look out for through out the 2012 year.

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

First name that comes to mind is Costa Pantazis, he's had some amazing tracks released this year and I absolutely love his style. Another name that comes to mind is of course, Technikal, he's had some massive tunes released this year as well!

What's been your favourite label of the year?

I've been really enjoying the releases that have been coming from Technikal Recs, and Metamorph Recordings. I would have to say it's a tie between those two for me. xD

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

It's hard to say, there's been way too much good tunes that I absolutely loved this year. It's too hard to pick just "one" favourite. Though I would have to say Technikal & NG Rezonance's - Still Dreaming is one of my current favourites. The songs chosen in my HDA top 10 chart are also honourable mentions. :D

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Sadly, my town is too small to hold any sort of Hard Dance related event. No events this year, but 2012 I hope to actually make it to some! Time to do some massive travelling. :D

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

"rite dere" Hahahaha, inside joke.

What do you have planned for the next year?

Next 12 months? Well I would say just try to work hard on making myself a better producer as a whole and just continue on with tunes. I hopefully should have my second album released in 2012. I'm going to try have my own net label launched during 2012 too. I also hope to actually try get booked for an event since that's something that still hasn't happened for me yet. We'll see how 2012 turns out, hoping it'll be a good one!
