Darksiderz - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Getting our first E.P. released on the Hard Dance Nation record label. We also hit the top 100 chart on hardstyle.com and junodownload.com! As well as getting a featured release on trackitdown.net.

What moments will you never forget?

There are so many moments that will never be forgotten this past year. I feel like we would have to write a novel to cover it all lol. Every show we have played has been incredible! The crowds/fans have been more then generous to us. We have made so many amazing friends throughout the year, being able to share the stage with so many artist we look up too. Names like Donkey Rollers, Zany, DBSTF, Frontliner, Isaac, Headhunterz, Dieselboy, and many more. We can't explain how lucky we feel to have shared so many unforgettable moments with so many amazing people.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

I would have to say Profite has impressed us the most. He's a very talented producer for being so young!

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

That's a really hard question. There have been so many artist pumping out unreal tracks this past year. So many amazing albums as well. But I would have to say Michel Pollen a.k.a. The Pitcher has been one of our favorites. He is always steeping it up with every track that is released and always outside the box.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

That's another hard question. so many labels have been releasing so much good music this year. Fusion, Scantraxx, Dirty Workz, Theracords, the list goes on. If I had to choose just one though I would say Fusion. They really seemed to step it up this year with a lot of quality releases and outstanding new artists.

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

The Machine Feat Sasha F - Self Esteem Fund (Geck-O Mix) The energy in that track is insane!

What's been your favourite event of the year?

I would have to say our most recent gig, the North California massive Countdown. We had our own stage full of Hard Dance. With names Like Headhunterz, Lady Faith, Caffiene, and many more. Heady blew the roof of of that place for sure. Although, what I loved most about this gig was the vibe of the crowd. Our stage was packed full of people going insane. It really showed the potential of Hard Dance in America.

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

I would have to say having an New Years after party in our hotel lobby with the Hard Dance Nation crew and others after our most recent gig. We pulled all the tables together, ordered about seven pizzas, and played loud drinking games all night. A whole lot of shenanigans went down that night for sure!

What do you have planned for the next year?

Push out more quality productions and help grow the American Hard Dance scene to it's fullest! This is our year to shine. We've accomplished so much this past year. Now we need to top it and take things to the next level.
