My Year In Hard Dance

What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
This year for me it has been all about new and fresh faces, for example Amp Attack, Michael Dow, Acute, Aftershok and SQ I could go on for some time but will leave it there. For me these have been a major part in which tunes I have been playing throughout the year. I can't pick a individual tune, because there have been so many outstanding tracks, such as Acute – Still Waters out on Noys. Also would have to say Michael Dow – Ascent out on Armada. Also SQ's track just recently out on Oblivion Digital, called Déjà vu, has not left my cd case, and can always guarantee a great reaction.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
This year I have been mainly concentrating on my own production, and mastering how to produce my own tracks. Doing this I have started getting my own work signed to various digital labels. I have also been collaborating with various established artists, such as MDA & Spherical (Oblivion Recordings) Jamie Taylor (Cluster/SUF), Amp Attack (Depervation of funk) and Darrell White (Kinetic/Breed). I've had many releases on many labels such as Oblivion Recordings and Digital, Digital Assault, Staar Recordings, Breed Digital and Presence just to name a few. And just recently myself and Amp Attack have got signed to Toolbox which we are both very excited about as we see Toolbox up there as being one of the best labels around. I have also been signed by Presence Digital, which is ran by Carl Nicholson, working alongside Jody6 on the Hard Dance section. Dave Leigh (Aftershok) and myself have just started a charity digital label called OutBreak, which will be donating all money made to charity. We have all the main producers onboard and is going to be a label to watch out for the future.
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
Last year has been fantastic with music from up and coming producers like myself and also from more established producers, and it's still showing everyone that Dance music is still going strong. I will not forget playing at some Briton's best nights such as Puzzle Project which if you have not been get down there. I also had a great experience at playing in one of my favourite clubs, The Fridge in London for a very respectable night called Logic.
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
2008 holds a lot of exciting things for me, which I can't wait for such as our Charity label hitting the Internet stores and making money for great causes. I am also well excited on seeing where Presence will be taking my music career too as it has some great things planned and very excited to be a part of them. I will also be pushing my production, as I have been producing now for two and half years on my own and need to start pushing my own tunes and remixes out. Above all, I will be pushing my Djing to the max and hope to make a great name for myself in 2008 in music and also my Djing. So keep your eyes peeled.
