What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
Building up my new label Digital Cohesion along side Kris O'Rourke, we've been so proud of the releases and what is forthcoming and have had some great support with it from the likes of Andy Farley, JP & Jukesy, Nik Denton and more it's been immense, really has kicked off and so proud of it doing well too. With countless releases featured on cd mixes it's been great.
What moments will you never forget?
Hearing Andy Farley playing out Defective Audio remix of Acid Disco to a packed out Magna and and seeing peoples reaction to it was fantastic a great moment.
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
In Hard House been impressed with a new comer called Ben Carr we have just signed a new one of his to Digital Cohesion and he has had one signed to Traffic too so keep a close eye out in 2012 for him sure to make a sound. Also Digital DJ's have been doing some good stuff and already signed to the likes of Vicious Circle, Fireball and more so well worth a listen. In Hard Trance Clayfacer has been sending me some really good tracks and really impressed by his production sure 2012 will be a big year for him. Also talking of Hard Trance a guy called Shiverize is doing some fantastic tunes to and proud to sign one of his tunes to Outbreak which will be back in February 2012 kicking off with Shiverize tune....watch this space.
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
There has been some great talent this year in both Hard House and the Hard Trance scene. Hard House: James Devlin has been rocking it for me this year with some amazing releases and been lucky cough cough to have one of his tracks out on Digital Cohesion plug plug called Unsub a big track for me this year. Also John Geary has been delivering the good this year for me and likewise with JP & Jukesy, Defective Audio, Dave Owens, Frank Farrell and Equinox has been on form with some stunning production and remixes I LOVE HIM! Hard Trance: For me NG Rezonance has been on fire with some outstanding tracks and remixes for various labels always excited to hear what he does. Another guy is Lee Walls he deserves to be BIG his production is immense and always hammer his tunes. Also Costa Pantazis has been a busy in the studio and coming up with some cracking stuff for himself and his label fair play to him. Also Toryn D and JFrantik under their alias Cause & Effect have breathed light back into the Edison Factor and fair play their music is sounding very good. Also Xinetd_D has some great tunes and really impress me. And lets not forget Pero he is on FIREEEEE!. Ross Homson has been on fire for me this year with some quality remixes and original track and sure he will keep it throughout 2012.
What's been your favourite label of the year?
Hard House Toolbox, Deprivation, Spinball, Tonka Trax, Turtledog, Smalltown, Encoded, Pure NRG, Storm, Insomniacz Digital been some great labels about in Hard House. Hard Trance: Edison Factor Recordings, Riot, Traffic, Technikal Recordings, Metamorph Recordings, Kung Fu Wax , Transfixion Digital, Hyperdrive Recordings, Nukleuz Records, Ballistik Recordings
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
Hard House: For me James Devlin - Unsub has been my tune of the year it's huge, also Jud Roper - Wham Music Baby (JP & Jukesy Remix) has been a massive track for me too. Hard Trance All about NG Rezonance vs. Guyver - Post-Traumatic Stress this tune has been my fav since he sent it to me when him and Guy made it and still love it to this day.
What's been your favourite event of the year?
Insomniacz @ Magna wicked event, also Hard House Heaven - London Chapter @ Hidden
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
Nothing to funny really i'm afraid, sorry to disappoint you all.
What do you have planned for the next year?
Hope to get Outbreak Digital back up and running we have some very exciting tunes due with some fantastic remixes so me and Dave are sitting down to discuss their release dates, as we had a break for a little bit but should be back to normal in Feb/March. Also carry on with the large releases for Digital Cohesion, me and Kris work very close ensuring all the tunes we pick are the best and ensuring all the remixes compliment each other, we kick off 2012 in Feb with a great track from Jesse Jackson. check us out on our soundcloud page for more info. www.soundcloud.com/digital-cohesion
