What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
Ouch! That's a hard one, but id say the tune that I personally have loved this year is Paul Janes Middle finger on Hard as Funk recordings. Simple, extremely energetic, fantastic.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
The biggest achievement for me this year has to be playing to 4,000 Hard House raving rockers in the main tent at The Bull dog bash festival back in August. I was so worried about choosing the right tracks and not knowing how they would react to my style and progression, I was playing a two hour set warming up for Madam Zu & Mark EG! My style is more chunky techy hard house, but they all went ballistic and made me feel really special. Something that will stay with me for the rest of my life!
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
Emmm, the most memorable moment? Every weekend is memorable for me! But I always seem to forget them after a few Vodka and Cokes! I'd say most memorable has to be when I played @ Es Paradis - Ibiza for Tidy back in July. I played at pool party before the main gig and then went on to Itaca which is on the beach front, the sun was Shining, I was with a crowd of my very best mates, and just to top it off, half way through my set at Es, I turned to see a group of Xstatic regulars that had flew over to catch my set. What more could any DJ ask for... You could say I was Xstatic!!!
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
Were do you want me to start! Next year sees the full launch of the Xstatic Stompathon Tour, which kicked of at Storm vs Tidy @ The Emporium back in September. Amongst the tours that will be spread across the Uk & Ireland, ill be playing at events such as Storm, Polysexual, Xstatic and of course the Hard Dance Awards @ Plug!Feb 2nd Sees Xstatic throw the biggest event ever held @ The Venue - Xstatic vs Storm vs Sundissential feat Deprivation which has already broke ticket sales. Later on in the year Xstatic meets Vicious Circle and we will be working closely throughout with Deprivation Records. Ill be in the Studio with a legends such as Paul Maddox! But most of all, partying every weekend with the best people on the planet will be what im most looking forward to.
