What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
I'm not sure there's just 1 tune we could name. This year we have been playing 90% our own stuff, which I feel is what the scene needs, I think you can only take being a 'DJ' so far, and the clubbers will get to know you for 'your own' sound, ours being uplifting European hard trance! The European hard trance scene is going through a big phase at the moment, with a lot of the 'big' name producers taking new paths, or going down the tech-trance road. We feel the music has so much to offer, whether it be UK, Tech, Psy, club, or the European uplifting sound, its 1 of the most versatile 'hard' musical genres we have along side, hardcore & hard house, and to define the whole year by 1 tune would be tuff! An anthem for us though released very late in 2006 would be our 'Magic' tune, on FSC.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
Definitely all the productions. We have had releases & remixes signed on 6 different labels, in 6 different countries. Harderground in Japan, Future Sound Corporation in Italy, Intolerance in the UK, Joy Ride in Switzerland / Australia, Mental Madness & Massive in Germany. We are starting to get recognised a lot more for what we do on a production level, and we hope to double the amount of tunes we write in 2008. Oh, and JTB got married!! (Sorry Girls)
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
When Dave Joy phoned us to confirm our Australia tour was on was a great moment, but we have had to re-schedule for 2008. Finishing new tunes in the studio is always a great moment, Gig wise The Pulse festival was amazing, and between us we played many places including Hardcore Weekender 3, The Sanctuary festival, Defqon 1 in Holland, Addiction in Scotland, and headlined Concept in Ireland with Technoboy. All good stuff.
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
A lot more on the production side, with plenty of new and fresh ideas. The music is what its all about! We are making our Frantic debuts in February, and also have the opening of our Intolerance Recordings nights and tours (with Mars W). Last year, as we said, we were booked to tour Australia with Dave Joy, but for reasons beyond out control we had to cancel it, was a big shame and we were gutted for good while, so this year we hope to get that back on track and visit 'Down Under'.
