2007 has been a great year for Hard House, loads of amazing new tunes, new labels starting up & of course a influx of young producers showing good promise. Although it's been hard in the vinyl market with people such as Amato going bust we really things are going to take a turn for the good in 2008. Tune wise it's a tricky one to single out one track so we will go for a couple that have done the job for us. First up it's Omgea 3's amazing "Fishy Situations" which has took a absolute battering from pretty much every Dj you can think of. Hard but uplifting and works at any time! Second up would be "Flow" by Equinox... Originally due on Jupe & Marc Johnson's Flashpoint label but now appearing on vinyl thanks to Karl Davis & his Pure Nrg imprint. We have had this one since March of this year and can safely say it's took a right beating all year. Other notable tracks come in the form of Defective Audio's "Psychomp", Glazby & Maddox's "Megatron" & Little Jon's "Sucka" which will finally hit vinyl in spring 2008.
On the achievement front it's been another solid year for us. Highlights included overseas gigs in Canada & Ibiza both for the second year in succession. Playing our 12th Weekender in a row, of which the second time we have been recorded live & our set released to purchase. Keeping the Deprivation brand ticking over nicely with tours around the country, appearances @ Creamfields, Global Gathering & Escape Into The Park - all for the second year in succession. Gig wise we have clocked in at around 85 for this year which we feel is pretty solid and a good base to work from into 2008.
Looking on into 2008 we are planning to step things up a fair bit. We will be taking Deprivation around the country again with more tours & events. A new series for the label launches too. "Deprivation Masterclass" does pretty much what it say's on the tin. Its a series of EP'S from the finest producers hard house can offer, first up is Equinox, with "Equinox Dawn" & "Rave In My Bedroom" this will be followed up with Defective Audio on volume 2. We also have a new project launching but that's hush hush until the end of January. Some Festival's already booked in for the summer which is good and a return visit to Australia & New Zealand is being planed for April time too.
