What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
After winning the award for 'Best New Face' last year, i have been extremely busy over 2009. As most of you will know i was awarded with an Essential Mix which was broadcast on BBC Radio 1. This was a massive achievement for me and I would like to thank everyone once again for showing their support. One of biggest achievements this year was getting the chance to tour Australia for the first time. I visited Sydney and Melbourne which was really cool :)
What moments will you never forget?
The main stage at Kiddstock Wales was truly awesome not forgetting my back to back set with Alex Kidd! Ground Zero in Holland was very cool too, the Dutch truly know how to party!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
There are so many great new producers and DJ's breaking through at the moment. I work very closely with Brian Eddie he has a great sense of production style and there are many great tracks to come from him in the coming months. Louk (Compulzion) & Joe E (Virus Audio) have also been making a lot of great tracks this year and are names too watch over 2010.
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
It is a tough one for me.. ASYS has been doing some incredible production work this year alongside the Organ Donors. There is a lot of new talent breaking through also which is great!
What's been your favourite label of the year?
It has to be 'Kiddfectious Recordings' for showing me endless support and also for the 'Kiddfectious Experiment' EP's. Which I think cover new ground and are extremely experimental in comparison to most other hard dance labels. Not to forget 'K405 Records' which has had a very good year also. Including a string of chart topping hits, with remixes and collaborations from artists like Alex Kidd, ASYS, Amber D, Shock:Force, Joe E & Brian Eddie.
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
This is a tough decision with so many great tracks to chose from at the moment! My first choice would have to be Alex Kidd & Kidd Kaos Kiddstock Theme 2009. My second choice would have to be Organ Donors & Kidd Kaos Silence. Both tracks have had amazing support and have been really well received by the public.
What's been your favourite event of the year?
The best event this year has to be 'Hard Kandy's 10th Birthday' when I was on tour in Australia. It was my first time on tour over there and it was truly an amazing experience! There has also been many other great parties also including the Kiddstock festivals, Ground Zero (Holland) and my tour of Canada also.
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
We drove back from a gig in Wales and my driver took a wrong turn and we ended up doing a three hour diversion.. It wasn't very funny at the time but now we look back and laugh!
What do you have planned for the next year?
I have many plans for the next 12 months with a string of releases, remixes and collaborations lined up for my label K405 Records. My main goal is to just keep producing the music I love and try to push the boundaries in genres keeping the music fresh and exciting!
