KloneZ - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Remixing a tune for Andrea Montorsi, was a great opportunity. Also getting to the #1 TID spot with my brand new original KloneZ - Spirit...and staying there for over two weeks. It's still at #1 as I write this :) I suppose getting to release on Detox is worth a mention as well. Also just remixed a Dark By Design tune...but it's not coming out until 2012 so I guess I'll talk more about that next year :P

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

I haven't seen many impressive newcomers in hard dance this year.....possibly because I did not search that well. But I'd say Johann Stone has been putting out some quality tech stuff. Really into this groovy techno sound this year.

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

BRK3 with their techy grooves is right up my alley. Loving the style and quality of their productions, keep up the amazing work!

What's been your favourite label of the year?

I'm a bit biased at the moment. I say Detox...as it was the label that I followed for many years, but this year I finally got to release an original on this dutch staple, and it's worked out quite well. Detox FTW then ;) Digitally Infected is also definitely worth a mention. Busho's put in a lot of work into his label and it's paying off, keep it up Adam! KloneZ & Busho - Wreak Havoc was a massive release, and still more to come with remixes from Thilo&Evanti as well as Alphaverb's hardstyle take on our tune. Want to see more on International Tech Dance Sessions too, as tech stuff has been on the rise for me.

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

BRK3 has been on fire this year. So I'm going with one of their tunes which is ID3. Huge melody and massive drop...nicely done.

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Harvest festival...oh yes the best vibes and wicked music.

What do you have planned for the next year?

Will be expanding on my styles. I've always been pretty open with my influences, and 2012 is gonna be a year of variety. I don't stick with one sound for too long, and like to switch it up all the time. You might see some slower 130bpm stuff from me, maybe something above 160 bpm even.....who knows really haha. Hope you'll stick around to find out, as KloneZ name always stays the same but sound changes quite a bit...which is gonna be especially true for 2012!
