What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
From an ego stroking perspective it was really cool to win best hard dance DJ at both the hard dance and the hardcore awards for the second year running, but from a personal perspective I made a 'chip tune' remix album during the summer that I did solely for my own amusement while on my travels that I am still really proud of :D
What moments will you never forget?
Playing the main stage of Defqon 1 festival in Holland!! Probably the biggest event / stage I have ever played!! Both the most exhilarating and terrifying moment of my career yet, and looking back, simply amazing!!!!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
Argy rocked the INMWT stage at the Radio 1 live event at the start of the year, and has gone on to blow me away at every other gig, along with his ever improving production! Also, DJ Yoz has raised his game incredibly since becoming a solo artist. This guy will be taking the European scene by storm very soon!!
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
OK forgive me for not picking one, but I play a lot of styles. Without a doubt Organ Donors!! They have single handedly reinvented the UK sound this year, and every track has been amazing!! Also BRK3 on the techy tip, and then for hardstyle, Audiofreq, Isaac, Technoboy and Tuneboy!!
What's been your favourite label of the year?
Audio Surgery, Digital:Age, Titanic, Scantraxx... Sorry, again I can't pick just one
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
Noisecontrollers - Gimme Love
What's been your favourite event of the year?
Again it would have to be Defqon 1, just due to the sheer scale of the event! Unbelievable size, lineup and production!! Best UK gig I would have to say was the Good Greef arena at Planet Love. The atmosphere is always good there, but something really special this year!!
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
Pick any of the the adventures on the road with Jordan Suckley! Probably the best involving a hotel in ireland, a bottle of JD, a pair of over sized knickers and a bear!!!
What do you have planned for the next year?
There is a new schedule at Radio 1, so i'm looking forward to pushing hard to make the new show a success too, and this will allow for more time to get in the studio and do more international touring too, so it's shaping up to be a very exciting year!!!
