What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
WOW where do we start, maybe our craziest year to date! Having such influential and respected people such as Kutski and TID say that we have reinvented the Uk sound, Its not something we were ever trying to do!... Our remix of ASYS Bassturbation spent a record smashing 8 months at the No.1 spot on Beatport and still remains there. Our new Hard Edge sound started to get the attention of many Top 100 Trance & Hardstyle acts making it onto their Top 10 Playlists & Podcasts! We have remixed for Paul Oakenfold, Sean Tyas, Lange, Marcel Woods, Isaac, ASYS, Mark Sherry & Randy Kattana on mega labels Armada, RESET, High Contrast, Perfecto & Musical Madness whilst still retaining our Hard Dance roots, image & reputation! We were the first Hard Dance artist ever to feature on Armins State Of Trance podcast. We had 43 Radio 1 plays, almost weekly! And countless No.1 tracks on TID and Beatport. Our Audio Surgery brand took off taking the brand across the UK, Ireland & Europe. Being approached by the largest sample CD company in the world (Loopmasters) to bring forth a new series of Organ Donors - Future Hard Dance sample packs! its just been one insane INSANE year!
What moments will you never forget?
Paul Oakenfold asking us personally to remix him! Crazy shiz! Making the Make The Girlie's Wet Video! WOW! 80k hits & still averaging 500 hits a day! Getting booked at mainstage trance parties as a crossover Hard Dance / Trance act. (ITS A NEW ERA BABY) Being the only UK artist to hold a show on Q Dance radio, representing great Britain for the modern music era!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
Well not newcomers as such, but Argy is still a breath of fresh air, young gifted, enthusiastic & sound as a pound! Leon B continues to impress with his futuristic take on Hard dance. But for us its the way established artists have had the balls to go against the grain and start experimenting with their musical identity as we have, Showteks decision to slow & tone down their music is a milestone for the future! After telling us how our new sound had inspired him Activators new Sub Ground direction has definately made an impact and we have been heavily supporting him. The Sean Tyas sound is getting tougher, ASYS & Scot Project are pushing a new tougher sound at a slower tempo, its something we talk to all these guys about when we see them, and a general consensus amongst top promoters and producers that we meet all over the world, there is an exciting future ahead for the harder music scene as more people begin to realise the new trends and start deviating from the norm and help open the music up to wider audience's with fresh exciting new ideas! MUSIC HAS TO EVOLVE!...
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
What a year its been for music, great to see a lot of producers toughening up the beats, We take inspiration from many artists and have always been very diverse in our Dj sets, so Across many genres artists including Dada Life, Wolfgang Gartner, Tiesto, BRK3, Tommy Trash, Swanky Tunes, Bassjackers, Isaac, Bart B More, Scott Project, ASYS, Skrillex, Afrojack, Showtek & Justin Bieber!?!?! And of course as always a massive shout to Kutski for his continuing work at Radio 1, representing all styles of harder music and keeping the rave alive!
What's been your favourite label of the year?
AUDIO SURGERY ALL THE WAY BABY!...
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
In no order Our own tracks would be our remixes of ASYS Bassturbation, Lange - SciFi Hero, Paul Oakenfold Maybe Its over! Our original tracks - 'Make The Girlies Wet & 'Nuskool Sound'. Other selection would include Tiesto Maximal Crazy, Argy Group Therapy, BRK3 'L3t GO', Bassjackers Mush Mush, Arty All Around The World, ASYS Acid Glitch, Scott Project Super Musique, Scott Attril Never Forever, Leon B Zillatron, AVICI levels, Wolfgang Gartner Spacejunk, Silva & Quintino Epic Activator Theppar, Organ Donors Throw A Diva (ISAAC Rmx)! Man just FAR TOO MANY SICK TUNES!!!
What's been your favourite event of the year?
Audio Surgery ULTRASOUNDS @ The O2 Academy! This was a landmark achievement for our clubbing brand, at one of the UKs biggest & respected superclubs & the with a supersized epic festival sized line up! It really set our brand on coarse ready for 2012! Other stand out MEGA events included, Defqon, Dance Valley and Joy Festival in Ireland where we hosted our own Audio Surgery arena.
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
(Matt) Walking to the chip shop not realizing my flies were undone and my dick basically hanging out and scaring the absolute shit out of the entire neighbourhood! (Scott) Telling everyone in the office I had to go help my mum put up a curtain rail but was really sneaking off to my car to catch a cat nap! Only to find photos of me asleep in the car all over Facebook with the tag line Putting Up A Curtain Rail! The phrase has now become part of our obscure vocabulary for when anyone feels tired at the office!
What do you have planned for the next year?
WOW this is going to be a crazy year, the year actually started playing NYE in Canada at a huge Trance event where we played main stage along side Gareth Emery, W&W & Jochen Miller, showcasing our crossover Hard Edge sound! We have collaborated on a forthcoming project with a true legend, Scot Project. Also we have started a 3 way collab with ASYS and Kamui which is going to be very interesting. Yet we are still only just settling into our studio and finding our sound and establishing our Audio Surgery brand. Our 3rd Artist album is under way with allot of material already down, its going to be epic! We also have some BIG NEWS in 2012 so keep an eye open!.. Peace & Luv! The Donors...
