What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
The biggest track for me has definitely been the Cammilla Vokes remix of Vaccuum Packed! I've played it in every set since I got it. Frank Farrell's production on that is amazing!! is one of the best produced hard dance tracks I've ever heard. How that didn't get a release I'll never know! I used to hammer the original Eufex one , so this remix really worked for me, go on my son :-)
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
The biggest achievement has gotta be kicking off the nil by mouth label. Me and partner in crime Michael James have made sure we signed the best material we could find from both big name artists and up-and-comings. Near enough every release so far has ended up on an album, and had support from all the big jocks. thanks guys!!! :-) we are both really pleased with how everything has turned out!
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
The best moment has to be when Judge Jules played mine and Frank Farrell's track - Disabled Disco on his show on Radio 1 for the first time. I was well chuffed about that! My best DJing moment was when me and Kye Shand played b2b at Invasion vs B2T in Shrewsbury for the Halloween party and I dropped "My Favorite Game" by Dave The Elf, The Tom and myself (out now on Razor Records BTW ;-) ) . We hadn't long finished it, and I wasnt sure how well it would go down on the dancefloor. When it dropped in after the breakdown, it went off!!! The decor in the club was mental, and all the clubbers had made the effort and dressed up for Halloween. Was an amazing night, I'd reccommend Invasion and B2T to anyone!!
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
Well, I've already started work on my live set (first gig is at e:volve in Birmingham on 29th March ), I'm really going to concentrate on my own label Xtension Records as well. there's so much amazing material lined up it's silly! Also, I'm going to spend some time working with my metal band and record an E.P. so watch this space!
