Scope DJ - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Well this has to be on a technical level. Production-wise. I have learnt and developed my mixing and mastering skills which was one of my goals. I do all my mastering myself and also do master for some others. I love making the puzzle pieces fit and making the piece of music like a whole, complete (p)art. Also - of course - I made the anthem for Bassleader! Which was really fun to do, and an honour to do so!

What moments will you never forget?

Playing at Defqon1, because I had virtually NO sleep the night before due to a gig in Hungary and messed-up flight times. I felt wrecked and not really in the mood, and the weather wasnt helping either. But once I started playing, everything went away and got replaced by happiness and gratitude :) Also special was this years holiday to Australia combined with 2 great gigs! I just LOVE Australia :)

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

Although he isn't really new, he just got signed to DMW, he is showing some talent and dedication; DJ YOZ from the UK :)

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

Noisecontrollers and Frontliner

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

Coone & Scope DJ - Traveling. We had a lot of fun making this and it became one of the biggest hits of 2011. The follow-up is in the making! :)

What do you have planned for the next year?

Making a LOT of music, got a great vibe in the studio (which I rebuilt to ' perfection'), some GREAT collabs that I am working on (Audiofreq, Coone, A-lusion and moreeeee to come). I will soon get a new website, design, going to do some stuff with YouTube movies etc. A new, fresh start as the marking of a new era of Scope DJ. I now feel more motivated and inspired than ever before. Also I may try to experiment in different musicstyles too, but just for fun.
