My Year In Hard Dance

What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?

There has been some great tracks this year, Jason Cortez's re-work of Mauro Picotto's 'Komodo' has featured in almost every set for me but if I have to pick one it would be 'Microwave' by myself & BK. I have to choose this as it defines my sets perfectly, tough, electric, dirty & twisted. It takes the roof off every time I play it and has been the most requested track for me this year.

What has been your biggest achievement of the year?

Getting to all my gigs on time is a massive achievement! I don't think I've been late for one this year. Also my label Traffic Records merged with Riot so that was a big deal for me.

What moments in the last year will you always remember?

There have been so many good moments for me this year. Inside Out (Glasgow) is fantastic every time I play and this year was no exception. I moved house this year so I'll also remember that, and going to Radio 1 guesting on Kutski's show was pretty cool. My top moment from an event though would have to be 'The Tidy Weekender' in October. I played on the Saturday, last set in the main room & it was amazing. I played 'Awesome 3's' 'Don't go' as the last track 'proper old school style' & it will stick with me as a great moment.

What exciting things do you have planned for next year?

There are lots of things planned & ready to go for Riot! & Traffic so I cant wait to start getting the music out there, we have signed some excellent tracks for both the labels & have some other big projects too. Then there is my debut artist album 'Bass Junkie' that I've been working on all this year, its finally finished & is due for release in March so I really cant wait for that, the response has been brilliant & the tour is also being put together at the moment so for sure that is going to be massive for me.
