Steve Hill - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Finishing recording my forthcoming artist album "HTML" (Hard Trance is My Life) - a 5CD / 100 track album due for release early 2010. This year I also mixed 3 compilations and a TV advertised compilation for Universal - which is a record for me sales wise!

What moments will you never forget?

There's been some fantastic gigs this year where the atmosphere has been very memorable...Frantic turning 12, Blackout 2 in Durban, iD in Sydney, Family in Brisbane and Slinky's 10th birthday in Auckland were all highlights for me.

Kidd Kaos

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

It's a tie this year between Technikal, MDA & Spherical and Luca Antolini...Technikal takes it by an edge!

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Masif (of course!)

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

Honestly...too many to mention...been a great year for Hard Dance!

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Frantic turning 12 at Camden Palace was special for me personally...the venue, the crowd, the milestone and back 2 back with Technikal...perfect!

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

Someone thinking I was Phil York in Durban...I don't have ginger hair!!! Classic...the guy was convinced...

What do you have planned for the next year?

Next year will probably be the busiest for me internationally; UK, Ireland, Italy, Finland, USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Korea, Singapore, South Africa as well as Australia and New Zealand are locked in, plus am currently sorting through offers from Russia and Indonesia. My next artist album is out early 2010, as well as mixing another TV advertised compilation for Universal, and a couple for Masif. On top of that there is studio, organising a few Masif tours / events, and hanging out with my family!
