Sturdy Kitz - My Year In Hard Dance

What's been your biggest achievement of the year?

Probably getting my first track (Take Me Away) played on Kutski's Radio 1 show and then going onto getting another track (Salvation) played on Radio 1 again by Kutski. Also getting tracks signed to CD labels Funky Disco - Sumo Training was a very nice feeling as its a risk for labels nowadays releasing on CD format so was really happy when they decided to take on the tracks. Also another big moment...well two big moments was playing at the mighty atomik weekender 01 & 02.

What moments will you never forget?

Atomik weekender 01 i have always wanted to play at a weekender as i have been to most of them as i only live 2 minutes away so to actually get asked to play was very special :) Also playing for Clinic in North Wales this year has been a really good experience as the atmosphere at these nights are immense.

Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?

Ross Homson has impressed me the most as his tracks and his mixing are always spot on. This lad will go very far me thinks :)

Who's been the artist of the year for you?

This year has to be Dave Owens as all of his tracks have been quality. Also BK's stuff has been really good cant wait to hear what he comes out with in 2010.

What's been your favourite label of the year?

Toolbox and Fireball Recordings have been putting out some really good stuff this year and have made a pretty big whole in my pocket....

What do you think has been the best track of the year?

A big track for me this year has to be Ben Stevens & Amber D (Give It On Up) Tuuunneeee !!!!!!

What's been your favourite event of the year?

Atomik Weekender 01 was a wicked atomosphere and a lot of people were negative about this but it went off big time.

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?

Probably when i was playing at Kiddstock Wales and i walked off stage to grab a sneaky Amereto & Coke and when i came back on stage i fell up the stairs.... Gods knows how you fall up the stairs but i did and im sure there is a group on facebook about falling up the stairs....mmmmmm

What do you have planned for the next year?

To keep pushing the Sturdy Kitz tracks and hopefully get some more plays on Radio 1 and do some gigs in between :) Also to push my new project The Nuwave HardDance MP3 Store as its really coming along now with some new features and big labels getting added every week.
