My Year In Hard Dance

What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?

If I had to choose one, it would probably be Yoji's 6 Hours. This record came at a time when I was just starting to explore some different influences within my music and it really showed how well an 'old skool rave' thing could work within techy hard dance format! Others would be Remo-Con's Atavism (Both Mixes!) or Andrea Montorsi's Don't Leave Me Alternative Mix.

What has been your biggest achievement of the year?

On the production front, a mountain of production that has broken musically boundaries for me, which I am very happy with and which have been going down well. The amount of radio play and licensing to a top 10 UK compilations chart CD has been great too!. On the performance side its definitely got to be touring with Scot project in Australia! The opportunity to get to know such a prolific musical idol well has got to be a dream come true for any producer/dj!

What moments in the last year will you always remember?

Being surrounded by 10's of fans to sign autographs / records at some of the gigs in Australia are definitely moments I wont forget, as well as playing to an adoring five thousand strong crowd @ Transmission, Sydeny!

What exciting things do you have planned for next year?

2008 will see collaboration between myself and good friend Kutski… lots more remix work for various labels both on the techno and hard trance tip sides which will keep followers on both sides of my style happy hopefully and lost of fresh Vandall originals! 2008 will also see my label truly embrace the digital domain, due to the decline of vinyl sales and the demise of my former distributor Amato, regrettably it is unlikely you will see any more Trancewarez 12" releases!
